Hi and welcome to my website. I'm Dave, married to Jette from Copenhagen. We have 3 children, Helena (18), Steffan (16) and Nina (14).
So, what's this site all about ? Well its just my little corner of cyberspace where I can do and say what I want and anyone who is interested can keep upto date with me and my family. If you pass by then let me know, send an email to say you have been.
August 2010 : Congratulations to Helena on her amazing A Level results (2 A*s and 2 A's) and place at Cambridge University (Magdelene College) reading languages.
August 2008 : Well done Helena on your fantastic GCSE results: 8 Grade A (including 2 A* in German and Spanish) and 3 Grade B. We are proud of you...the hard work pays off. Well done !
August 2008 : Flew to Bremen and stayed a couple of days around Northern Germany. Had 2 nights at a lovely dairy farm near Soltau on the Luneburg Heide. This was great fun, we even helped to feed and milk the cows. Nina loved all the animals and wanted to bring the cats home!! Also, close by was the little town of Bergen and the site of the infamous Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. We paid a visit to the museum there and saw Anne Frank's grave. The museum was a fascinating and gruesome place but did not hold quite the same shock/horror of Auschwitz. We then drove up to Denmark and had a lovely 10 days there, culminating in Anne and Steens wedding on the 16th Aug. The sun shone and a wonderful day was had by all.
February 2008 : Winter holiday to Spain. Took a flight to Valencia and hired a car to drive around Spain a bit. Went to Barcelona and up into the mountains around Morella. The weather was a bit changeable but we had a nice few days. First time in Spain for all of us, so a new experience.
June - July 2007 : Summer holidays - Flew to Toronto and drove down to Jette's sister in Wilmington, Delaware via Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey..... a lot of new States visited on this occassion and a lot of driving !! Niagara Falls was superb. See the photos on page 12.
February 2007: Winter Holiday to Eastern Europe. Visited a couple of new countries, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia as well as re-visits to the more familiar Slovakia and Austria. The weather was un-seasonally mild with the only snow on the mountain tops!! Photos on page 8.
September 2006: New Server and newly designed site now in operation, more photos so takes a bit longer to load. Be patient. Also added some of my favourite music to each page.
Use the sitemap for navigation, or the numbers on top of the page (above). Anyone who knows about messing around with building websites will know what a complete pain in the arse it all is, so please forgive the sometimes crazy layout...I'm working on it. It really is a 'work in progress'.
